Today we performed our show for two very different audiences. The first was for the high schoolers. This required us to get up at 4:30 in the morning which really wasn’t fun. The show started at 7:15 and the audience was pretty rowdy and at some points, rude. For instance I said a line then an audience member had a reply:
Miss Dorothy: Do I look like the sort of girl who would allow a man to take liberties?
Audience Member: Yep! You do!
So that was pretty fun. It’s always a test to see who can stay in character.
After that we had 20 minutes to change and prepare for the next show. The elementary and middle school kids came in and if they weren’t sitting there plain as day you’d never know we had an audience in there. They probably just didn’t get anything because we had to cut so much for fear we might be portraying adult themes like alcohol and contact with the opposite sex!
Well after the show I ran a few ticket errands for Madden (our director) with a new good friend of mine. We invented a new word and had a great time.
I went home and fell straight asleep. Then I woke up and did house work. My grandma came into town to see the show this weekend. Now we are enjoying The Sound of Music.
Well I actually have to go to school tomorrow.
poop. But I am actually going to a show tomorow in west palm.
